These planes serve as relics from the Grenadian Revolution and the subsequent U.S. invasion in 1983. The Cuban plane, it is said, arrived the day before the invasion, carrying two Cuban officials. The planes, damaged during the invasion, have remained at the site ever since, exposed to the elements.Visitors can explore the aircraft, peering into the cockpits and fuselages, though most of the valuable parts have been scavenged over the years. Informative plaques provide historical context, enhancing the experience for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs.
