From the Melville Street Bus Terminal in St. George's, take a bus heading towards Grand Anse or St. Paul's. These buses are independently operated vans with route numbers displayed on the windshield. Inform the driver you wish to get off near Fort Matthew. The bus fare ranges from EC$2.50 to EC$6.50. After disembarking, walk a short distance uphill, following the signs for Fort Matthew.

Taxis are readily available in St. George's. Negotiate the fare with the driver before starting your journey. A taxi ride from the city center to Fort Matthew typically costs around EC$50. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the fort.

Walking

From the Carenage in St. George's, head east. Continue onto Melville Street and proceed until you reach the main road. Turn left and follow the road uphill, looking for signs indicating the direction to Fort Matthew. The walk is approximately 20 minutes.
