Carabao Brewing, located in the heart of Hagåtña, Guam, is more than just a brewpub; it's a testament to the island's growing craft beer scene and the embodiment of the Hafa Adai spirit. Founded in 2018 by husband-and-wife team Ben and Anna Johnson, Carabao Brewing was born out of a love for Guam and a desire to bring American-style craft beer to the island. After falling in love with Guam during a visit in 2017, Ben and Anna decided to make the island their home and open a brewery. In July 2018, they acquired the Mermaid Tavern and Grill in downtown Hagåtña, and after a year of renovations, Carabao Brewing officially launched in July 2019. Operating on a 5-barrel brew system, Carabao Brewing has steadily grown thanks to loyal patrons and dedicated employees. In June 2021, they secured a lease for a new production facility and taproom in Anigua. Carabao Brewing takes pride in crafting a diverse range of beers to suit every palate. Their passion lies in producing classic West Coast IPAs using modern techniques, as well as faithfully recreating timeless beer styles. In addition to beer, they have a love for quality sandwiches and craft all their meats in-house and from scratch using the freshest ingredients.
