From the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica, exit the cathedral and walk west towards Route 1. Plaza de España is located nearby and is easily accessible on foot. The walk is short and allows you to take in the sights of downtown Hagåtña.
Public Transport
To reach Plaza de España via public transport, locate the nearest bus stop. Board the 'Guam Bus' Route 65, which heads towards Hagåtña. The fare is $2.00 per ride. Stay on the bus until you reach the Hagåtña area. Get off at the stop closest to the Plaza de España (ask the driver for assistance if necessary). From there, it's a short walk to the plaza.
Taxi
Taxis are available at major shopping centers and hotels. A taxi ride from the Guam Airport (GUM) to Hagåtña is approximately $40-$50 and takes about 8 minutes. From the airport, taxis are readily available. However, taxi fares in Hagåtña and Guam may vary.
