Cetti Bay Overlook is a breathtaking landmark on Guam's southwest coast, offering stunning views of Cetti Bay and the surrounding landscape. The overlook is part of Guam's Territorial Seashore Park, known for its geological significance and historical importance. From this vantage point, visitors can see the volcanic rock formations that characterize southern Guam, including the pillow lava formations of Attelong Acho, or Black Rock, to the north. In the distance to the south, Cocos Island is visible off the coast of Malesso'/Merizo village.The area is rich in Chamorro and Spanish history, with evidence of Chamorro habitation dating back 3,000 years. The Spanish later established a road system that passed through Cetti Bay, connecting Hagåtña with Humåtak. Today, Cetti Bay Overlook is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, offering hiking trails and a chance to connect with nature.The twin hills below the Cetti Bay Overlook are called Attelong Acho, or Black Rock, formed underwater during ancient volcanic eruptions. The slopes are covered with grassland, savanna, and coconut trees, with a ravine forest hiding the Cetti Waterfall. The coastal area around Cetti Bay has been inhabited by Chamorros for approximately 3,000 years, with latte stones and pottery shards providing evidence.
