    Car

    From Mount Lamlam trailhead, head southeast on Route 4. Continue for approximately 1.5 miles until you see the entrance to the Mount Jumullong Manglo hiking area on your right. There is a designated parking area near the trailhead. Parking fees, if applicable, are minimal, so have some cash handy.

    Public Transport

    From any location in Guam, take a bus to the nearest bus stop on Route 4. From the bus stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles southeast to the entrance of the Mount Jumullong Manglo hiking area. Check local bus schedules for accurate times and routes. Bus fares typically cost around $3.00 for a day pass.

    Walking

    If you are at the Mount Lamlam trailhead, walk southeast on the trail towards Route 4. After about 1 mile, carefully cross Route 4. Continue walking southeast for another 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Mount Jumullong Manglo. This walk takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

The mountain holds significance for both its natural beauty and its cultural importance to the indigenous Chamorro people and the Catholic community.The moderately challenging hike to the top typically takes around 1.5 to 3 hours. The trail winds through diverse terrain, from woodlands and red dirt paths to grassy meadows. Along the way, hikers encounter the Stations of the Cross, marked by 14 white crosses, leading to a grotto dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The summit provides 360-degree views encompassing Cocos Island, Two Lover's Point, and the island's diverse landscapes.Every Good Friday, a large crowd of Catholic pilgrims makes the ascent, carrying a new cross to add to the collection at the summit, reenacting Jesus's crucifixion. This tradition has resulted in a collection of crosses of various sizes and materials, creating a unique and striking landmark. The mountain also offers a chance to connect with Guam's ancestral roots and appreciate the island's rich biodiversity.
