Getting there

Car

From central locations in Northern Guam (Tumon or Dededo), head south on Route 1 (Marine Corps Drive) for approximately 25 miles. Turn right onto Route 2 towards Humåtak and continue for about 5 miles. Turn left onto Sella Bay Road and follow it to the Sella Bay Overlook. Parking is available at the overlook. There are no tolls or parking fees.

Take the Guam Bus (Route 19) from major areas like Tumon or Hagatna towards Humåtak. Check the latest bus schedule, as services may vary. From the bus stop in Humåtak, it's approximately a 2-mile walk or a taxi ride to Sella Bay Overlook. Bus fare is around $1.50 - $4.00 for a day pass. A taxi from Humåtak to the overlook may cost $10-$15.

Sella Bay Overlook, situated in Humåtak, Guam, provides visitors with breathtaking panoramic views of Sella Bay, the southern coastline, and the island's mountainous interior. This scenic spot is ideal for capturing stunning photographs or simply enjoying a peaceful moment surrounded by nature.Historically, the area was known as Sidya prior to Spanish colonization. During the Spanish-Chamorro Wars in the 17th century, Sidya sided with the Spanish against its neighbor Aty, where Cetti Bay is located today. Sella Bay also holds historical significance as a site along the coastal highway built by the Spanish, with remnants of a Spanish-era bridge still standing.Today, visitors can explore the diverse flora and fauna of the region through nearby trailheads. The Sella Bay Trail, accessible from the overlook, descends through trees and crosses a shallow stream, leading to views of the coast, palm groves, and the southern mountain range. Whether you're interested in photography, relaxation, or adventure, Sella Bay Overlook offers a memorable experience that showcases Guam's natural beauty.
