Walking
From the central part of Zona 1, head towards the Plaza de la Constitución by walking along Avenida 6, a major thoroughfare. Look for signs indicating the direction to the plaza. It should take about 10-15 minutes on foot, depending on your starting point. Once you reach the intersection with Calle 7, turn left, and the plaza will be straight ahead. There are no costs associated with walking.
Public Transport
Transmetro operates a bus service to Tipografía from Fuerza Aerea every 20 minutes. The journey takes approximately 21 minutes and costs $1. From Tipografía, the Plaza de la Constitución is a short walk away.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Guatemala City. A short taxi ride to Plaza de la Constitución from somewhere nearby in Zone 1 should cost approximately $5. Be sure to negotiate the price before you set off.
Driving
If driving, several 'parqueo público' (public parking) options are available near the Plaza de la Constitución. These are private parking lots with hourly rates. Expect to pay around Q8.00-Q10.00 (USD 1.00-1.25) per hour. Recommended parking lots include Central Market parking, Solana 5th on 7th Avenue, and Central Square parking. Parking meters are also available in Zone 1 for Q2.00 (USD 0.25) per hour.
