Pleasant and gorgeous but not informative.

The entire ride was gorgeous, fairly easy riding, with a few good hills. We stopped in each town but we received no information about the town. The guide would say, “10 minutes,” or “15 minutes,” meaning that’s how long we had to find a snack or a drink before we were to begin riding again. As a guide, we would have benefitted from some hand signal or spoken words at intersections, whether we would know if we were stopping, turning left, right, or going straight. The guide was pretty much to himself. We stopped for lunch at the last stop before we got back on the boat to Panajachel. However, we had no idea we’re going to stop for lunch, or whether said lunch was included in the price. It was not. Again. very pleasant day but not informative in the least.

Great half day trip!

Def do this bike tour if you are in the lake atitlan area. Alex was an amazing guide. He picked us up from our hotel and we walked to the bike shop. They had pre-fitted bikes based on our heights ready to go. Then we biked through the city a bit then took a *very* “authentic” and rustic bus ride to the top of a mountain. We loved it, felt like we got a glimpse into village life. Then we started our descent down the roads to the base again. What was supposed to be a 3.5 hour tour or so turned into more than 5 hours, only because Alex was so awesome and patient with us. We stopped at various markets and viewpoints along the way, which added to our time of tour. He never once rushed us along. 100% recommend!

Amazing tour and tour guide. Super fun way to explore and learn about the towns around Lake Atitlan! The mini activities like grabing coffee, chocolate tasting and clay shopping only add to the atv experience.
