Once in San Vicente Pacaya, local transportation options such as taxis or tuk-tuks can be used to reach the park, which is located a few kilometers from the town center. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The cost for the taxi/tuk-tuk should be around Q20-Q40.

Eólico Viento Blanco Park is a modern wind farm located near San Vicente Pacaya, Guatemala. This facility harnesses the power of the wind to generate electricity on a large scale. The park consists of seven state-of-the-art Vestas V112 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.3 MW, bringing the park's total installed capacity to 23.1 MW. This is enough to power around 130,000 homes each year, using only sustainable wind resources.The Viento Blanco project began construction in January 2015 and started feeding energy into the National Interconnected System in November of the same year, marking it as the second wind farm to operate successfully in Guatemala. Each turbine has a hub height of 84 meters and a rotor diameter of 112 meters, with blades measuring 54.65 meters in length. The park sits at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level.Visitors can observe these impressive structures and learn about wind energy. The location's access road and the large size of the components required the use of a Blade Lifter, making Viento Blanco the first project in the Americas to implement this solution.
