From the main dock in Panajachel, head east along Calle Principal. Continue for 10-15 minutes until you reach Avenida 3. Turn left and walk for another 5 minutes. The Mercado Municipal will be on your right. Tuk-tuks are readily available and cost Q5-Q10 for a ride within town.
Public Transport

To reach Panajachel from Guatemala City or Antigua, shared shuttles are a common and convenient option. Shuttles from Guatemala City cost around $35 per person and take approximately 3-4 hours. From Antigua, shuttles cost around $20 per person and take 2.5-3 hours. Chicken buses are a cheaper but less comfortable option.
