Walking
Start your journey at the Forest Parish Hall, located at 1 La Rue des Limes, Forest. From there, head north on La Rue des Limes until you reach the main road, La Rue de la Lande. Turn left onto La Rue de la Lande and continue straight for approximately 0.5 miles. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for the beautiful countryside views as you walk. After about 0.5 miles, look for a path on your right leading into the woods. This path is marked with a small sign indicating the way to La Gran’mère du Chimquière. Follow this path for about 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at the site, which is a well-known historical landmark.
Public Transport
If you prefer to take public transport, start at the Forest Parish Hall and walk to the nearest bus stop on La Rue de la Lande. Catch the number 91 bus towards St. Peter Port. Get off at the stop named 'La Lande'. From there, you will need to walk approximately 0.4 miles. Head south on La Rue de la Lande until you reach a path on your left that leads into the woods. Follow the trail for about 0.3 miles until you arrive at La Gran’mère du Chimquière.
