Walking
Starting from the center of St. Sampson, head east toward the main road (the Rue des Plaisants). Once you reach the main road, turn left and walk along it for about 500 meters until you reach the fork in the road. At the fork, continue to follow the road to the right onto the Rue des Coutures. Keep walking straight for approximately 1 kilometer until you see Fort Le Marchant on your left. The fort is located near the coast, and you will notice its distinctive structure as you approach.
Cycling
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in St. Sampson. Start at the harbor area and cycle east along the Rue des Plaisants. Once you reach the main road, turn left and continue cycling for about 500 meters. At the fork, take the right onto Rue des Coutures. Continue straight for around 1 kilometer. Fort Le Marchant will be on your left side as you approach the coast.
Public Transport
To reach Fort Le Marchant using public transport, locate the nearest bus stop in St. Sampson. Take the bus heading towards the town center and ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Fort Le Marchant. Once you get off, walk along the Rue des Coutures for about 500 meters, and the fort should be visible on your left. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most convenient times.
