Start your journey in St. Saviour by locating the nearest bus stop on Route de la Brecqhou. Catch the bus heading towards St. Peter's or the town center. Alight at the stop 'La Villia'. From there, walk back along Route de la Brecqhou until you reach the junction with Rue des Goddards. Turn left onto Rue des Goddards and continue straight until you reach the end of the road, where it meets with Les Echelons. Turn right onto Les Echelons and you will see La Gran’mère du Chimquière ahead. It is situated in a serene area, surrounded by greenery, making it a peaceful stop on your tour.
Cycling
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in St. Saviour. Begin at the local shop and head north along Route de la Brecqhou. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Rue des Goddards. Veer left onto Rue des Goddards and cycle until the road ends at Les Echelons. Here, take a right turn onto Les Echelons where you will find La Gran’mère du Chimquière. The ride is approximately 15 minutes depending on your pace.
Public Transport
To reach La Gran’mère du Chimquière using public transport, first identify the nearest bus stop in St. Saviour. Take the bus route that goes towards St. Peter’s or the town center. Disembark at 'La Villia'. From the bus stop, walk back along Route de la Brecqhou and take a left onto Rue des Goddards. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street and turn right onto Les Echelons. Continue walking, and you will arrive at La Gran’mère du Chimquière, which is marked by its impressive megalith.
