Car
If you're driving from Georgetown, take the East Bank Demerara Road (also known as the 'Georgetown to Timehri' road). Continue on this road until you reach the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. Follow the highway until you reach the junction for the Demerara River ferry at Vreed-en-Hoop. Take the ferry across the river to Leguan Island. The ferry operates regularly, but be prepared for possible waiting times. There is a nominal fee for the ferry, approximately GYD 300-500 per vehicle. Once on Leguan Island, follow the signs towards Dauntless Beach, which is located at WJHJ+F3. The beach is about a 20-minute drive from the ferry terminal.
Public Transportation
To reach Dauntless Beach using public transport, start your journey from Georgetown by taking a minibus or bus to Vreed-en-Hoop. These buses are frequent and should cost around GYD 150-200. Once you arrive at Vreed-en-Hoop, you will need to board the ferry to Leguan Island. The ferry fare for a passenger is approximately GYD 100-200. After crossing to Leguan Island, you can take a taxi or a local bus to reach Dauntless Beach, which is about a 20-minute ride from the ferry terminal. Taxi fares in Leguan Island are usually around GYD 500-1000 depending on your negotiation skills and the distance.
