Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Georgetown. Head west on the East Bank Demerara Road (also known as the Linden-Soesdyke Highway). Continue along this road until you reach the Demerara Harbour Bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow the signs toward Vergenoegen. Once in Vergenoegen, look for VMG3+2MR on your navigation system. The Tuschen Ground will be on your left side. Parking is available nearby.
Public Bus
For those opting for public transportation, take a bus from Georgetown heading to Parika. These buses frequently depart from the Stabroek Market area. Request the driver to drop you off at the Vergenoegen stop. Once you disembark, you might need to walk for about 10 to 15 minutes to reach VMG3+2MR. It's helpful to ask locals for directions as you walk to ensure you're on the right path.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in Essequibo Islands-West Demerara. Simply provide them with the address VMG3+2MR, Vergenoegen. The taxi fare may vary, but expect to pay around GYD 2,000 to GYD 3,500 depending on your starting point. This option is more comfortable and convenient, especially if you're traveling with luggage.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, consider cycling to Tuschen Ground. Rent a bicycle in Georgetown and head west towards the East Bank Demerara Road. Follow the same route as cars and buses, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. The ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated.
