Car
If you are traveling by car from any point in the Kanuku Mountains, follow the main road heading towards Lethem. Continue on this road until you reach the junction at the Rupununi River. At the junction, turn left onto the road that leads towards the Iwokrama Forest. The entrance to the forest is approximately 30 kilometers from this junction. Be sure to keep an eye out for road signs indicating Iwokrama Forest, and maintain a slow speed as the road can be bumpy and wildlife may cross.

For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus or minibus from Lethem heading towards the Iwokrama Forest. Buses typically leave from the Lethem bus terminal. Confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the Iwokrama Forest entrance, which is about 30 kilometers from the Rupununi River junction. The fare should be around 1000 Guyanese dollars, but be sure to check current rates as they can fluctuate.
