Car
If you are driving from the Mazaruni River area, take the Lethem to Georgetown Road (also known as the Rupununi Road). Follow the road for approximately 70 kilometers. You will pass through the Iwokrama Forest Reserve, where the Canopy Walkway is located. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway, which is situated near the Mauisparu area. Parking is available near the entrance.

To reach the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway by public transportation, you can take a minibus or taxi from Mazaruni River to Lethem. Once in Lethem, you will need to hire a taxi or take a local bus that travels along the Lethem to Georgetown Road. Inform the driver that you wish to stop at the Iwokrama Forest Reserve. The journey may take approximately 2-3 hours depending on the road conditions. Expect to pay around GYD 1,500 to GYD 3,000 for the taxi fare, depending on the negotiation.
