From Lethem, take the Takutu Road towards the Iwokrama Rainforest. Continue on this road for approximately 20 km until you reach the Iwokrama River Lodge & Research Centre. There is no entrance fee to access the lodge, but ensure your vehicle is in good condition for the journey, as the road can be rough in certain areas.

From Lethem, you can catch a minibus or taxi heading towards the Iwokrama Rainforest. These usually leave from the main taxi stand in Lethem. The fare is approximately GYD 1,500 to GYD 2,000 per person. Inform the driver that you are going to Iwokrama River Lodge. The journey takes about an hour. Once you arrive at the entrance to the Iwokrama area, you may need to arrange for a local guide or a lodge transfer to reach the lodge itself, which could incur additional costs.
