Car
If you are traveling by car from Lethem, start on the main road heading towards the town of Bonfim. After Bonfim, continue on the road towards the Rupununi region. You will pass several unmarked dirt roads; continue straight until you reach a sign for Yupukari. Turn right onto the Yupukari road and follow it for about 20 kilometers. Karanambu Trust & Lodge will be located on your left-hand side; look out for a sign at the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Karanambu Trust & Lodge via public transport, take a bus or minibus from Lethem to Yupukari. These usually depart from the Lethem bus terminal and cost approximately $1.50 to $2.00 USD. The journey can take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions. Once you reach Yupukari, you may need to arrange a taxi to take you the remaining distance to Karanambu Trust & Lodge, which is about 20 kilometers away. Taxis in Yupukari can charge around $10 USD for this trip.
Motorcycle or Bicycle
For the adventurous, you can also reach Karanambu Trust & Lodge by motorcycle or bicycle. Starting from Lethem, follow the same route towards Bonfim and then onto the road to Yupukari. The ride is roughly 30 kilometers and can take about 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you are well-prepared for the rugged terrain, and take plenty of water and snacks for the journey.
