Be prepared for some unpaved sections of the road as you approach the coast.

In Bassin-Bleu, find a local 'tap tap' (shared taxi) that is headed to Gonaïves. Ensure you communicate your destination clearly to the driver. The fare is usually around 100 HTG. Upon reaching Gonaïves, you will need to transfer to a tap tap or local bus heading towards Mole Saint-Nicolas. The fare for this second leg is approximately 150 HTG. The journey may take several hours due to road conditions and stops along the way.
