Walking
If you are starting from the central market area in Hinche, head northwest along Rue de la Révolution. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Rue des Cités. Turn left and continue walking for another 5 minutes. You will pass local shops and eateries, which are great for a quick snack or water. After about 5 minutes, you will reach the main square. From the square, head towards the northwest exit which leads to Avenue de l'Église. Walk straight on Avenue de l'Église for approximately 15 minutes. Keep an eye out for local signage and ask locals if you need help. Saint Philomena Parish is located on your left side, just after you pass a small park.
Bicycle
Starting from the central Hinche area, rent a bicycle from a local vendor if you don’t have one. Begin your ride heading northwest on Rue de la Révolution. After about 5 minutes, turn left onto Rue des Cités and continue for another 5 minutes. You’ll notice shops and cafes along the way, so feel free to stop for refreshments. After reaching the main square, take the exit towards Avenue de l'Église. Pedal straight for around 15 minutes. Saint Philomena Parish will be on your left, just after a small park. Make sure to ride carefully and watch for pedestrians.
Motorbike Taxi (Tap Tap)
From your location in Hinche, find a nearby Tap Tap (motorbike taxi) station. Tell the driver you want to go to Saint Philomena Parish. They will likely understand and take you through the main streets. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Enjoy the sights along the way, as the drivers often take popular routes that showcase local life. Be sure to keep an eye out for landmarks, as this can help you recognize the area when you arrive. The Tap Tap will drop you off nearby the parish, from where you can easily walk to the entrance.
