Getting There

Car
From Port-au-Prince, take Route Nationale #2 towards Leogane. Continue on this road for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach Leogane. From Leogane, follow the signs for Route Nationale #1 heading towards Miragoane. After about 20 kilometers, look for signs indicating Massif de la Hotte and follow the local roads that lead to the national park area. Be prepared for some rough terrain as you get closer to the mountain. Parking may be available at designated trails.

Public Transportation
Begin your journey at the main bus terminal in Port-au-Prince. Board a 'tap-tap' (shared taxi) heading to Leogane. This ride will cost around 50 gourdes and take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Leogane, transfer to another tap-tap going to Miragoane. This leg will cost approximately 70 gourdes and take another hour. After reaching Miragoane, ask local drivers for a tap-tap or a motorcycle taxi that can take you to the Massif de la Hotte area. Expect to pay around 100 gourdes for this last leg of the trip.
