    From the center of Copán Ruinas, head towards the main square, Parque Central. Once you reach the park, look for the road named 'Calle Principal'. Walk along 'Calle Principal' heading east for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with 'Calle 2'. Continue straight as 'Calle Principal' turns into 'Calle 2'. After about 500 meters, you will see a sign for a bus station on your left side. This is where you can catch a bus or a shared taxi (colectivo) to Esquipulas. Make sure to ask for Esquipulas when you board the vehicle.

    Once you are at the bus station, look for the bus or colectivo that is heading to Esquipulas. The fare is usually affordable, around 30-50 Lempira, and the journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Enjoy the scenic views along the way as you travel towards Esquipulas. When you arrive in Esquipulas, you will likely be dropped off near the central area.

From the bus drop-off point, walk straight ahead towards 'Calle 2'. Take a right onto 'Calle 2' and continue walking until you reach '11 Calle'. Take a left onto '11 Calle', and you will see the Basilica on your right. The basilica is an impressive structure and is well-signposted, so you should have no trouble finding it.
