From the Börzsöny Mountains, take Route 12 towards Visegrád. Continue on Route 12 until you reach the junction with Route 11. Merge onto Route 11 and follow the signs for Budapest. As you approach the city, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the Buda Castle area. Upon entering Budapest, take the exit toward the city center and follow signs for District I. You can park at one of the nearby parking facilities, such as the Clark Ádám Square parking garage. From there, it's a short walk to Buda Castle located at Szent György tér, 1014 Budapest.

To reach Buda Castle by public transport, start by taking a train from one of the nearby train stations in the Börzsöny Mountains, such as Szob or Nagymaros. Take the train towards Budapest and disembark at Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). From Nyugati, transfer to tram line 4 or 6, which will take you to the Deák Ferenc tér station. At Deák Ferenc tér, transfer to the M2 metro line (red line) towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at the Déli pályaudvar station and follow the signs for the Buda Castle Funicular. Take the funicular up to the castle. The funicular costs approximately 1,200 HUF for a round trip.
