    Getting There

    Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Budapest and head towards Buda. Take the M1 highway from the city center and follow signs for District XII. Once you reach the district, navigate to János-hegy by following the signs to the 'János-hegy' viewpoint. There is a parking area available near the top, but it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Be prepared to park further away and hike the remaining distance.

    Public Transportation

    To reach János-hegy using public transport, take the Metro Line 2 (the red line) to Széll Kálmán tér. From Széll Kálmán tér, transfer to bus number 21 or 21A. Ride the bus until you reach the 'János-hegy' stop. From the bus stop, you will have a short walk uphill to reach the peak. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as they may vary, especially on weekends and holidays. The cost for a single ticket is approximately 350 HUF.

    Hiking
