  • Car

    If you are driving from Central Transdanubia to Fisherman's Bastion, start by taking the M1 motorway towards Budapest. After approximately 70 km, merge onto the M7 motorway, and follow the signs for Budapest. Continue on the M7 until you reach the city, where you can follow signs for the city center (Belváros). As you approach the city, you can take the exit for 'Buda' and follow the signs towards the Castle District (Várnegyed). Parking is limited near Fisherman's Bastion, but there are public parking garages around the area which may have fees ranging from 1000 to 2000 HUF per hour. It is advisable to park at the nearby Clark Ádám Square parking garage, which is about a 15-minute walk to the Bastion.

    To reach Fisherman's Bastion using public transportation, take a train from Central Transdanubia to Budapest's Déli Pályaudvar (Southern Railway Station). From there, you can catch tram number 61 or 56, which will take you to the Széll Kálmán tér (Square). From the square, you can either take bus 16 or walk approximately 20 minutes uphill through the picturesque streets of the Castle District to reach Fisherman's Bastion. If you choose to walk, follow the signs for 'Vár' or 'Castle'. A single ticket for public transportation costs about 350 HUF, and you can purchase tickets at kiosks or vending machines available at the station.
