Car
If you are traveling by car from Kunság to the Hungarian State Opera, start by heading north on local roads towards the main highway (M4). Merge onto the M4 and continue towards Budapest. Once you reach the city, follow signs for the city center. Take the exit toward Andrássy út (Route 7) and keep driving until you reach Andrássy út 22. Parking is available in nearby garages, but be aware that there may be fees ranging from HUF 500 to HUF 1500 per hour.
Public Transportation - Bus and Metro
For public transportation, take a bus from Kunság to Szolnok. From Szolnok, board a train to Budapest. Once you arrive at Budapest's Nyugati Station, transfer to Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) in the direction of Kőbánya-Kispest. Get off at the Arany János utca station. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes to reach the Hungarian State Opera located at Andrássy út 22. Ensure you check the bus and train schedules in advance, as they may vary, and have some cash or a travel card ready for ticket purchases.
Public Transportation - Direct Train
You can also take a direct train from Kunság to Budapest. Purchase your ticket at the local train station. Once you arrive at Budapest's Keleti or Nyugati Station, you can either walk or take a tram to the Hungarian State Opera. If you choose to walk, it’s about a 25-minute walk from Keleti Station or a 15-minute walk from Nyugati Station. Alternatively, from Nyugati Station, take tram number 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér and get off at the Oktogon stop. The opera house is just a short walk from there.
