Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Nyírség, take Route 4 towards Budapest. Follow the signs for M3 highway. Merge onto M3 highway and continue towards Budapest. After approximately 220 km, take the exit towards 'Budapest-Centrum' and follow the signs to the city center. Once in the city, navigate to Nagymező utca 20. There is street parking available, but be aware that there may be parking fees.

• Public Transportation (Train and Metro)

  To reach the Hungarian House of Photography - Mai Mano House using public transport, take a train from Nyírség train station to Budapest. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive at Budapest Keleti Station, exit the station and take the Metro Line 2 (Red Line) at Keleti Pályaudvar station towards Déli Pályaudvar. After 3 stops, get off at the Opera station. From there, it is a 5-minute walk to Nagymező utca 20. You may need to purchase a ticket for the train (approximately 3,000 HUF) and a separate ticket for the metro (about 350 HUF).

  Alternatively, you can take a bus from Nyírség to Budapest. Check the local bus schedules for departures to Budapest, which typically take about 3-4 hours. Arriving at a bus station in Budapest, take the Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) towards Újpest-Központ. Get off at Deák Ferenc tér and transfer to Metro Line 1 (Yellow Line) towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at the Opera station and walk 5 minutes to Nagymező utca 20. Ensure you purchase a bus ticket (around 4,000 HUF) and metro tickets (350 HUF each).
