Getting There

Bus

From Miskolc city center, walk to the Miskolc bus station (Miskolc Autóbusz-állomás). Take the bus heading to Eger. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Eger bus station, exit the station and head towards the city center. Follow the signs for Vár, which will lead you to the Castle of Eger. It is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus station.
Train

Head to Miskolc Tiszai train station. Purchase a ticket for a train to Eger. The train ride takes around 40 minutes. After arriving at Eger train station, exit and walk towards the bus stop located across the street. Take bus number 10, which will take you directly to the castle area. Get off at the Vár stop, and you will see the Castle of Eger a short walk away.
Walking

If you are already in Eger, you can walk to the Castle of Eger from the main square (Dobó tér). Head northeast on Kossuth Lajos utca, then take a left onto Vár utca. Follow Vár utca up the hill, and you will reach the entrance of the Castle of Eger. The walk takes roughly 20 minutes.
Taxi

You can also opt for a taxi from Miskolc to Eger. Simply hail a taxi or use a taxi app to book one. The drive will take about 50 minutes, and the taxi can drop you off directly at the entrance of the Castle of Eger.
