    From Vac train station, take the train towards Budapest Nyugati pályaudvar. The trains run frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Nyugati pályaudvar, exit the train station and head to the tram stop outside.

    At Nyugati pályaudvar, take tram number 4 or 6. You will need to ride the tram for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop called Széll Kálmán tér. From here, transfer to bus number 16 or 16A. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure.

    Take bus number 16 or 16A from Széll Kálmán tér towards Dísz tér. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the stop called Szent György tér. The Hungarian National Gallery will be directly in front of you once you exit the bus.
