Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Vác, head towards the Váci Cathedral (Váci Székesegyház) as your starting point. From the cathedral, walk south towards the Danube River. Once you reach the riverbank, turn left and follow the river promenade. Continue walking along the river for about 10 minutes until you reach the train station (Vác Vasútállomás). From the train station, take a train to Budapest, which should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest's Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station), exit the station and take tram number 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at the next stop, which is 'Margit híd, budai hídfő.' From there, walk up to the Buda side and navigate towards Táncsics Mihály utca. The Mediaeval Jewish Chapel will be on your right at number 26.

• Public Transport

  Start at the Váci train station (Vác Vasútállomás). Purchase a ticket to Budapest and board a train heading towards Budapest. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Nyugati Pályaudvar. Once at the station, exit and look for tram lines 4 or 6. Take tram number 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. Ride for one stop and disembark at 'Margit híd, budai hídfő.' From there, proceed to walk up Táncsics Mihály utca until you reach number 26, where the Mediaeval Jewish Chapel is located.
