Walking
From the center of Vác, head southeast towards the Váci Church. Walk along the main street, Kossuth Lajos utca, until you reach the junction with Széchenyi utca. Continue straight on Széchenyi utca, which will lead you to the Váci train station. At the train station, purchase a ticket for a train heading to Budapest. The train journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest's Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station), follow the signs to the metro station inside the train station. Take Metro Line 3 (the blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Transfer at the Deák Ferenc tér station to Metro Line 2 (the red line) towards Örs vezér tere. Get off at the next stop, Ferenciek tere, and transfer to Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at the next stop, Vörösmarty tér, and exit the metro station. From there, walk east on Váci utca for about 10 minutes until you reach the Danube River. Cross the river using the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. After crossing, continue walking straight until you reach Komor Marcell utca. Müpa Budapest will be on your left, located at Komor Marcell u. 1.
Bus
From the center of Vác, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the intersection of Kossuth Lajos utca and Széchenyi utca. Take Bus 10 towards Budapest. The bus will take you directly to the city. You need to get off at the 'Kálvin tér' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk to the Kálvin tér Metro station and take Metro Line 3 (the blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Transfer at the Deák Ferenc tér station to Metro Line 2 (the red line) towards Örs vezér tere. Get off at the next stop, Ferenciek tere, and transfer to Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at the next stop, Vörösmarty tér, and exit the metro station.
