If you are driving, head towards Aðalstræti in the center of Akureyri. From the Akureyri Botanical Garden, take the road south towards downtown. You will pass by the Akureyri Church on your left. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will see a sign for Aðalstræti. Turn left onto Aðalstræti. Leikfangahúsið - Akureyri Toy Museum is located at Aðalstræti 46, and there are public parking spaces available nearby.

For public transportation, check the local bus schedule (Strætó) for routes that service the downtown area of Akureyri. The closest bus stop to Leikfangahúsið is near Aðalstræti. Once you arrive at the bus stop, walk towards Aðalstræti and head south for about 200 meters. The museum will be on your left at Aðalstræti 46. Please note that bus fares may apply, and it is advisable to have some Icelandic Krona ready for the payment.
