Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Blonduos, head south on Víðimýri street towards the intersection with Hringvegur (Route 1). Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction. At the junction, turn right onto Hringvegur. Walk for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see a sign for Vatsndalsvegur Rd. Turn left onto Vatsndalsvegur Rd and continue for about 1 kilometer. The Vatnsdalshólar View Point will be on your left at 722 Vatsndalsvegur Rd.

• Bicycling

  If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Blonduos town center and head south on Víðimýri street. After about 500 meters, turn right onto Hringvegur (Route 1). Cycle along Hringvegur for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Vatsndalsvegur Rd. Turn left onto Vatsndalsvegur Rd and ride for about 1 kilometer. The Vatnsdalshólar View Point will be on your left at 722 Vatsndalsvegur Rd.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  To reach Vatnsdalshólar View Point using public transport, first check the local bus schedule at the Blonduos bus station. Board the bus heading towards Hvammstangi and inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Vatsndalsvegur stop. From there, it is a short 1-kilometer walk south along Vatsndalsvegur Rd to reach the View Point located at 722 Vatsndalsvegur Rd.
