Car
If you are traveling by car from Borgarfjörður, head west on Route 54 towards the town of Borgarnes. Continue on Route 54 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the small town of Stykkishólmur. From Stykkishólmur, take Route 58 towards the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. After about 15 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Lundey. There is no direct road access to Lundey as it is a small island, but you can park your car at the designated area near the harbor and take a boat. Expect to pay around 5,000 ISK for the boat ride to Lundey, which usually operates during the summer months.

If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Borgarfjörður to Stykkishólmur. The bus service is limited, so check the schedules in advance. Once you arrive in Stykkishólmur, you will need to walk to the harbor where boat tours to Lundey are available. The boat trip costs approximately 5,000 ISK.
