Walking
From the center of Borgarnes, start at the main square where you can find the Borgarnes Information Center. Head south on Gilsbakkavegur road towards Hvanneyri. Continue walking straight for about 2.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right fork onto Hvanneyri road. Continue straight for another 1 kilometer, and you will see the Landbúnaðarsafn Íslands on your left. It is well-marked, and you can’t miss the entrance.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Borgarnes Information Center and head south on Gilsbakkavegur road. Follow the same route as for walking, but you can cover the distance faster. After about 2.5 kilometers, take the right fork onto Hvanneyri road and continue for another 1 kilometer. The Landbúnaðarsafn Íslands will be on your left. Make sure to obey local traffic rules while riding.
