Car
From Egilsstaðir, take the Route 1 (Ring Road) heading east towards Breiðdalsvík. After approximately 50 km, turn left onto Route 96, signposted for Berufjörður. Continue on this road for about 25 km until you reach the fjord. The scenic views along the way are stunning, so be sure to stop at the various viewpoints.
Public Transportation
To reach Berufjörður via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Egilsstaðir to Breiðdalsvík. The bus service is operated by Strætó, and you can check the schedule on their website. Once you arrive in Breiðdalsvík, you will need to hire a taxi or arrange for local transportation to reach Berufjörður, as public transport options are limited in that area.
Taxi/Ride-Sharing
If you prefer direct transportation, you can book a taxi from Egilsstaðir directly to Berufjörður. This is the most convenient option, especially if you are traveling with a group or have luggage.
