Car
From Seydisfjordur, take Route 93 towards Egilsstaðir. After approximately 8 km, look for a sign indicating Gufu waterfall (Gufufoss) and turn onto the gravel road. Continue on this road for about 2 km until you reach the parking area for the waterfall. The waterfall is a short walk from the parking area.
Public Transportation
Take the bus from Seydisfjordur to Egilsstaðir, which operates several times a day. From Egilsstaðir, you will need to arrange for a taxi or local shuttle service to take you to Gufu waterfall, as public transport does not reach the waterfall directly. Be sure to confirm the availability and cost of the taxi service in advance.
Walking
If you are staying in Seydisfjordur, you can hike to Gufu waterfall. Head out on Route 93 towards Egilsstaðir and look for the marked trail leading to the waterfall. It is about a 10 km hike, taking roughly 2-3 hours one way, so plan accordingly and bring sufficient supplies.
