Continue on Road 96 for approximately 30 kilometers (18 miles). You will then see signs for Skriðdals- og Breiðdalsvegur. Turn onto Skriðdals- og Breiðdalsvegur and follow it for about 10 kilometers (6 miles) until you reach Heidavatn. Be prepared for gravel roads in some sections, and ensure your vehicle is suitable for these conditions.
