Car
If you're driving from the town of Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading west. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 300 km until you reach Reykjavík. Once in Reykjavík, follow the signs for Laugardalur. Turn onto Borgartún road, and Höfði House will be located at 105 Borgartún, on your right-hand side. There is limited parking available around the area, so plan to arrive early if you are visiting during peak tourist times.
Public Transportation
Start your journey at the Egilsstaðir bus station. Take a bus on the Strætó route 17 towards Reykjavík. The bus ride will take approximately 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, get off at the bus station in the city center. From there, you can either take a local taxi directly to Höfði House at Borgartún 105 or use the local bus system. If taking the bus, catch the route 14 from the city center, which will take you close to Laugardalur. Get off at the nearest stop and walk to Höfði House, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
