If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Egilsstaðir, which is a central point in the Eastern Region. From Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading west. After approximately 30 km, turn left onto Route 931 towards Kaldakinn. Follow Route 931 until you reach the junction with Route 35. Turn left onto Route 35, which will take you towards Kerlingarfjöll. After about 40 km on Route 35, watch for signs for Kerlingarfjöll and turn right onto the gravel road that leads to the site. Please note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended due to the rough terrain, and there may be a fee for parking in the area.
