If you're traveling by car, start by heading to the town of Egilsstaðir, which is a central hub in the Eastern Region. From Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading north for approximately 30 km. Look for the sign for Route 93 towards Múlagljúfur and turn onto this road. Continue on Route 93 for about 20 km until you reach the intersection with Route 941. Turn left onto Route 941 and follow it for about 5 km until you reach the parking area for Rjúkandi Waterfall. The waterfall is a short walk from the parking area. Please note that some parts of Route 93 may be gravel, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Public Transportation

Once you arrive at the stop, you will need to walk approximately 5 km to reach Rjúkandi Waterfall. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and carry water, as the path can be rugged.
