If you are driving, start from the town of Egilsstaðir. Head west on Route 1 (the Ring Road) and continue for approximately 63 km. When you reach the town of Seyðisfjörður, take the turnoff onto Route 93. Follow Route 93 until you see signs for Sleðaásgjá. The site is located at coordinates 64.291108, -21.0631591, which you can enter into your GPS for precise directions. Be aware that some roads may be gravel and could require a 4WD vehicle, especially in winter. There are no entrance fees for visiting Sleðaásgjá.
