Car
If you are driving, start from Egilsstaðir, the largest town in East Iceland. Take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading west towards Reykjavík. Continue on Route 1 for about 700 kilometers. Once you reach Reykjavík, follow the signs towards Miðborg. The Unknown Bureaucrat is located at 43W5+8V3, which is in the center of Reykjavík. After reaching the city center, find parking nearby as street parking is available but may incur a fee.
Public Transportation
To reach The Unknown Bureaucrat using public transportation, first take a bus from Egilsstaðir to Reykjavík. You can use the Strætó bus service; check their website for schedules and prices (approximately 4,000 ISK for a one-way ticket). Once you arrive at the BSI Bus Terminal in Reykjavík, you can either walk (around 20 minutes) to the sculpture in Miðborg or take a city bus (lines 1, 2, or 3) towards the city center. The bus fare is around 400 ISK. Get off at the stop for 'Hringbraut' and walk a short distance to 43W5+8V3.
