Bus
From the center of Hafnarfjordur, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Strandgata. Take Bus 1 towards 'Kopavogur', and get off at 'Kopavogur Sundlaug' stop. Here, transfer to Bus 57 towards 'Grindavik'. Ride until you reach the final stop, 'Grindavik'. From the bus terminal in Grindavik, it is about a 30-minute walk to Fagradalsfjall Volcano. Head southwest on Suðurstrandarvegur, following the signs towards the volcano.

If you are already in Hafnarfjordur and prefer to walk, head towards the harbor area and find a path that leads to the Reykjanes Peninsula. It's a long walk (approximately 20 km), so ensure you are prepared with water and snacks. Follow the coastline until you reach Grindavik, and from there, navigate to Suðurstrandarvegur. The journey is scenic but may take several hours.
