Car
Start at Hengifoss Waterfall. Head south on Road 1 (the Ring Road) towards the town of Egilsstaðir. Continue on Road 1 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Road 95. Turn left onto Road 95, and follow it for about 15 kilometers. Then, take a right turn onto Road 54. Hraunfossar Waterfall is located about 20 kilometers down Road 54. There is a parking area near the waterfall, which is free of charge.
Public Transportation
From Hengifoss Waterfall, you will need to return to Egilsstaðir by bus, which takes about 30 minutes. From Egilsstaðir, take a bus that operates toward Borgarnes or Reykholt, and ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop for Hraunfossar Waterfall (often you may need to check with the driver in advance). Please note that bus schedules can vary, so check local timetables. After getting off, you may have to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the waterfall. Ensure you have sufficient time for return trips, as public transport can be limited.
