If you are driving, head south from the main road (Route 1) towards Vatnajokull National Park. Take Route 1 until you reach the junction for Route 998, which leads to Fjallsárlón. Follow Route 998 for approximately 10 kilometers until you arrive at the Fjallsárlón parking area. Note that parking fees apply, and you can pay on-site or via your phone.

Public Transportation

If you are using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest station on Route 1, such as Höfn. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a shuttle service to take you to Fjallsárlón, as public buses do not directly service the area.
