Car
If you're driving from the Highlands area, start by heading south on Route 1 (the Ring Road). Continue on Route 1 until you reach the turn-off for Route 204, which heads towards Sólheimasandur and Vík. Follow Route 204 until you reach the parking area for Ingólfshöfði, which is marked with signs. This parking area is approximately 20 km from the main road and will take you to a designated hiking path leading to the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
There are limited public transport options available in the Highlands, but you can take a bus from Reykjavik to Vík. Once in Vík, you may need to arrange for a taxi or local tour service to take you to the parking area near Ingólfshöfði.
