From Husavik, head to the Husavik bus station, located in the town center. Take the bus towards Reykjahlíð. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Make sure to check the schedule in advance, as buses may not run frequently. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Grjótagjá, or simply ask for the stop before Reykjahlíð.

Once you arrive at the bus stop in Reykjahlíð, disembark and walk towards the marked path leading to Grjótagjá. The path will be clearly indicated; follow it for about 10-15 minutes. The entrance to Grjótagjá is a small cave, and you will be able to see the geothermal hot spring inside. Be cautious as the area can be slippery.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike in Husavik. Follow the main road (Route 85) towards Reykjahlíð. The cycle ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Upon reaching Reykjahlíð, look for the signs directing you to Grjótagjá. The path to the cave is unpaved, so ensure your bike is suitable for off-road cycling.
